Today we continued our study of Nixon and Watergate.
1st hour completed notes on Nixon/Watergate
3rd hour completed (finishing for homework) a Nixon cartoon timeline with the following criteria:
Minimum 8 pane cartoon timeline (5pts)
•Must include major events during Nixon’s Presidency. (5pts)
•Must include following vocabulary used correctly:  executive privilege, impeachment, Watergate, Plumbers, pardon (10pts)
•Each pane must have a picture and caption/dialogue (with dates if available). (5pts)
•Stick figures accepted if labeled.

Today we talked about the Vietnam, soldiers experiences and how they felt about the ARVN and VietCong.

Word:  Twenty Sixth Amendment
Type I:  Why would the 26th amendment be important during the Vietnam war?
Today we used Howard Zinn’s “A People’s History of American Empire” to look at the Vietnam war from a protester/activists point of view.  Each table tackled a section of the book and shared out with their classmates what they learned. Click here for worksheet used.
