Type I: Where do you see pollution in Kalamazoo?

Today we split into groups and worked on a jigsaw activity. Every group was assigned a section in the book. Each students filled out the section worksheet. In the worksheet EVERYONE defined their section’s terms. Then, the group split up the key words and students were to create a poster on each vocabulary word.

Poster Requirements:

Title-3 points
One picture-3 points
5 Specific Facts-2 points each
Each person MUST take on at least ONE role. EVERY ROLE MUST BE FILLED
Roles include:
Artist-In charge of drawing
Fact Finder-In charge of finding facts
Editor-In charge of making sure the facts and picture of accurate
Manager-In charge of making sure the project gets done

 Type I: Should we reduce the amount of power that the government has?
Today we took notes on Richard Nixon. We looked at some of the new programs he started and the Watergate scandal. Our homework was:
You will write a Type III on whether  you believe President Nixon was a good or bad president. This must be one page long (skipping lines). FCAs should be at the TOP of the paper and NOT on the lines.

Type I: What is one movement that young people feel strongly about?

Today, we wrote a Type II to Mr. McCullough’s father. This had to be at least two paragraphs. There had to be a sentence that thanked him for his service. You also needed to have two things you learned about Vietnam.Then, two questions you still have about the war.

We then took notes on the Counterculture movement.

Finally, we listened and analyzed a few songs from the 1960s.
